What a wonderful weekend we have had!! My sister, Cami, is leaving for BYUI next week. So she came down and has spent the weekend with us! We decided not to just sit around here like we do all the time.... so we took a day trip to the ocean. Our experiences with the ocean usually are going to Fort Bragg every year. It's more up north so the water is freezing! We decided to try a new location, since Cali coast is soooo big. So we found a spot just a few miles north of San Fransisco called Muir Beach! It only took us 2 hours to get there and wouldn't have been so long but the Bay Bridge to San Fran was closed for the weekend so everyone was taking alternate routes and we were stuck in the middle of it. It normally would take about 1 1/2 hours, at least that's what we're guessing! We ended up having the time of our lives though!! At least I did! I don't remember the last time that I was able to just sit and relax and play and have fun all day long! Usually at home I'm cleaning, entertaining the kids somehow, putting them in time outs, getting them drinks, changing diapers, wiping bottoms, keeping them from fighting, hearing the "I'm bored... this is no fun.... I'm hungry.... leave me alone..." whines and cries, ect... But being at the beach, the kids had soooo much fun and just played all day long and really didn't whine or complain once! It was soooo nice! We were able to just veg in the sun and play in the sand and ocean and enjoy the beauties of God's creations. And having Cami there made it even more wonderful cause she's just such a cool person! It's exactly what I needed though and I suggest that everyone should do it every now and then.... I love the ocean and I'm thankful for the opportunity that we had to go. Hopefully next time we can gather even more people to come with us! The weather was perfect too. In the low 80's with a cool breeze. And the water was chilly, but not as chilly as we are used too. So we didn't get too numb! So ya.... I just thought I would share some pics with ya'll...... here you go!
