Elijah

Elijah is a funny kid. He's 2 1/2 and not talking yet. The few words he does say are... Mom, apple, bubble, and ball. He does so ease for please. Aiou for Caillou. And oh for no. But he makes lots of noises and sounds. Are we worried about this? No. I guess Jason didn't talk until he was 4 years old. And so far, Elijah is just like Jason in every other way. We did take him to get a hearing test, and they said he passed, but had a ton of wax in his ears. I think if he's not talking more by this summer, then we'll take him to a speech therapist. But this kid is such a boy, yet so sensitive. He loves pocket knives, gun, rough housing, sports, tools, you know, the typical boy things. He is very independent as well. Here are some pictures of Elijah during the month of January....

Elijah and his cousin Joel chillin' at Hometown Buffet 1/1/11

My 3 Girls! Oh wait... the one in the middle isn't a girl, it's Elijah! The poor kid always wants to play with his sisters, so when they're playing dress up, he wants to play too. Hahah! 1/11

It was 45 degrees outside and Elijah came out of the clothes room with his diaper on and a lifejacket. Then he sat on the couch and fell asleep. He actually slept really well with it on and didn't even snore. I think it's because it propped his head up straight.

Elijah climbing up the step wall at the playground. This kid is a climber. He's not fearless, but he does climb things. My friend that was with me was freaking out about it. But I know Elijah's limits and won't let him do anything that I know he couldn't do.
