Our community of Plumas Lake is awesome! We absolutely love it here! The only downfall is that we did not have any retail and we do not have any gas stations in the area. The closest gas station is 4 miles away and the closest retail is 6. But... Walgreens has decided to give our little community a chance and opened up a store about 3/4 mile away! Who would've thought that we'd be sooo excited for a Walgreens? Not me. But we are! Even though a box of cereal is 4.99. We still love it and are so thankful to have one here. Now I can just run to the store to buy some meds if I need to instead of making a big trip to town. The best part is... it has provided several jobs for people in the area. So yes... Walgreens is open!! YAHOOO!!! The kids and I went to the ribbon cutting today and got free popcorn, cake, and water bottles full of little goodies. It was a lot of fun! My very good friend Joalea is an Opera Singer. She has a performance coming up and didn't want to run to Walmart to just buy bobby pins for her hair. So here is her first purchase at Walgreens. :-)

Walgreens has great stuff for free or almost free if you use coupons! We have grown to love them.

Hope yours is nicer that ours. We have one here in town and it's really small and a little cluttered. But there are fun nick-knacks to buy
I was going to mention the coupon thing too. My friend just told me about iheartwags.com and they tell you what to buy and with what coupons. She gets lots of free and cheap stuff from walgreens.

This is funny, I just went to our grand opening of Fresh n Easy down the street. (which happens to be right by a Walgreens) I was SO excited. Funny how it doesn't take much to get us goin' these days! :)
